Calligraphy Course

Description

Japanese calligraphy has 3 main styles: Kaisho (regular style, very close to the printed text), Gyosho (semi-cursive style, slightly rounded in comparison to Kaisho) and Sosho (cursive style, mostly used for artistic expression). In this course we will start with Kaisho and Gyosho styles, practice the main lines and forms. And in the final section you will challenge the Sosho style to create your own calligraphy masterpiece.
